Itohan M. Idumwonyi is an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Gonzaga University in Washington State. She earned her Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Rice University in Houston. An accomplished scholar, she has authored several works, including her most recent monograph, *Crashed Realities?: Gender Dynamics in Nigerian Pentecostalism* (2023). Her interdisciplinary research spans African Religions, African diaspora religions, African Studies, Sociology of Religion, African Womanist Theology, Religion, and Gender. Recognized for her expertise, she is a Smithsonian Global Religions of Africa Speaker and a member of the 2024/26 Humanities Washington Speakers’ Bureau. Additionally, she is a 2025/26 OMSC Fellow at Princeton Theological Seminary. Itohan resides in Spokane, where she continues her academic and community engagement.
