Amplifying the Voices of the World Christian Movement
Welcome to the Overseas Ministries Study Center
The mission of the Overseas Ministries Study Center at Princeton Theological Seminary (OMSC@PTS) is to amplify the voices of the world Christian movement by supporting and promoting scholars and artists from Asia, Africa, Latin America, Oceania, and diaspora communities. Founded in Ventnor, New Jersey, in 1922 by Marguerite and Ida Doane, OMSC@PTS carries on its legacy of fellowship while embracing a newfound commitment to ecumenism, scholarship, and educational equity. OMSC@PTS serves as the hub for World Christianity scholars through research fellowships, public lectures, an annual conference, online curriculum, and the highest-circulating peer-reviewed journal in the field, the International Bulletin of Mission Research (IBMR).
“OMSC represents a unique, ‘niche branch’ of theological education.”
Andrew F. Walls
“Through its widely acclaimed International Bulletin and its residential and educational facilities, OMSC serves as a major force in mission and world Christianity.”
Lamin Sanneh
“OMSC creates a distinctive opportunity for conversation and mutual learning between mission leaders and scholars. No one goes away unchanged from the encounter at OMSC.”
