José A. Santos Horta, D.Min., is a Puerto Rican–born practical theologian, educator, and academic consultant from Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He has been married to Jessica S. Santos for 34 years and is the father of six children and the grandfather of four grandchildren. Dr. Santos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, as well as a Master of Church Ministries, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Practical Theology at the same institution.
With extensive experience in ministerial formation and leadership development, Dr. Santos serves as a professor for the Center for Latino Studies, where he contributes to theological education for Hispanic communities in the United States and Latin America. He is also an active preacher, conference speaker, and academic consultant, integrating theological research, pastoral practice, and leadership development to strengthen emerging and established ministry leaders.
