Paulien Wagener is a teaching and research assistant, and PhD student in Global History of Christianity and Orthodox Christian Studies at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Her research focuses on the contribution of Oriental Orthodox Christians in the early ecumenical movement and the founding of the World Council of Churches. She holds a M.A. in Protestant Theology and Christian Oriental Studies from the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and a B.A. in Religious Education and Social Work from the International YMCA College, Kassel, Germany.
